OUR STORY

Our founder Alexandra Miller has over ten years of experience in the world of luxury fashion. In 2017, driven by her passion for healthy living she wanted to open a fashion led food and drink destination with a focus on delicacies that were not only stunning but delicious too. That same year we opened our first café destination in the heart of Mayfair, Park Lane. Fast forward to today, after many more successful site openings across London, EL&N has become one of the most Instagrammable destinations in the world, with our iconic flower walls, pink interiors and alternative lattes taking social media by storm. Our brand embodies creativity, style and optimism and our dedicated team of baristas, chefs, marketeers and industry experts work together to bring the EL&N vision to life.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF EL&N LONDON

2017: EL&N is born!

  • In August 2017, EL&N was born with our first café opening in Park Lane, Mayfair.
  • In December 2017, we open our second café on Brompton Road.

2018/2019: A loyal social media following is built as we start opening up all over London

  • In May 2018, we hit our first big milestone with 100k Instagram followers!
  • In September 2018, our flagship store EL&N Market Place opens on London's hottest shopping street, Oxford Circus.
  • October 2018 saw us open our first ever concession located in department store, Selfridges LDN.
  • December 2018 was the month our love hearts booth took the internet by storm as EL&N Hans Crescent opened its doors!
  • February 2019 grew beautiful blooms in Belgravia with the opening of our Lowndes street café.

2019: The year of pop ups, brand collabs and the launch of our retail line

  • In August 2019 our EL&N retail line officially launched in-stores.
  • October 2019 saw our pop up cafe at Bicester Village launch.
  • November 2019 brought us a collaboration with L'Occitane to create London's first pop-up beauty café!

2020: A year we will never forget, showing support for our incredible NHS keyworkers

  • May 2020 saw EL&N launch an NHS shop and limited edition coffee cans to support frontline workers with groceries and donations during the pandemic.

2020: Innovation & new launches left, right & centre

  • EL&N launches first grab & go café in July 2020, located inside St Pancras Station.
  • Time for something new, September 2020 saw a fresh new menu launch with over 50+ dishes joining the line up!
  • We were on the road in September 2020, launching our first ever 'On the Road' mobile van concept, located in Bluewater shopping centre.
  • Hello October 2020 and HELLO 400k Instagram followers!

2020-2021: The evolution of EL&N...

  • The festivities begin in Nov 2020 as EL&N partner with St Pancras Station as the official Christmas tree sponsor, creating the 2020 Tree of Hope, showing thanks and appreciation to key workers and NHS staff.
  • Dec 2020 takes EL&N digital with the launch of their Carnaby Street café, their second grab and go concept.
  • New year, new products. EL&N expand their retail and celebration cakes ranges.

2021: EL&N goes international!

  • In April 2021 we opened our first international store in Doha, Qatar.
  • May - Our new Gamer Arcade themed store opens up in London's Soho with a pink motor bike and full neon clad walls.
  • In July we opened our second International site in Kuwait's Avenues Mall.
  • EL&N turned 4 in August and we hit 500k followers on Instagram.
  • We top off a great summer by opening our first store in Europe within the famous Galleries Lafayette in Paris!

2021: A year of growth

  • We film with ITV & Ed Sheeran to present a surprise Pride of Britain Award to Harmonie-Rose Allen.
  • In November EL&N goes airside to open our first ever airport location in Heathrow Terminal 3, with brand new dishes added to the menu.
  • Our On The Road pink truck pitches up at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park for Christmas.

2021: Installations and pop-ups

  • Our first International pop-up opens at Abu Dhabi Mother of the Nation Festival for the month of December.
  • Our UK Brompton Road store front is transformed into a pink version of the Toy Shop from Home Alone 2 for Christmas time!

2022: Anticipated store openings...

  • First thing in January we hit a milestone 550K following on Instagram!
  • Our most highly requested site opened its doors in Dubai to much acclaim in DIFC, UAE.
  • In January we open not one but two kiosks in Riyadh, KSA.
